Glo Nigeria offers one of the best connections when it comes to GSM services and I'm not just saying. One of the ways by which you can enjoy or even test their services is by simply migrating to their network but still retaining your mobile number. This is what Mobile Number portability is really about - Moving your number across any network of your choice.

Assuming you want to change from your current network to Glo, you can now do this using the Mobile Number Portability option and this is basically for free.

How to port to the Glo network
=====================
- Visit any Glo porting center
- Register your sim
- Show a proof of identification
- Send Port to 3232 for free
- Collect your new Glo SIM for free

Now you can use the same number to stay connected with your friends and family and the only difference is that it would now be on the Glo network.

When your sms request is successful, you will get an sms confirmation. Also note that you will have to remain on the Glo network for at least 90 days before making for any other porting request.

So, you could decide to port to the Glo network from your existing network such as Airtel, Etisalat or MTN and it works quite easily.

    Well, I have not done it before and as far as I know, the only thing they guarantee is that you would still retain your old number.
